China’s first red-themed show-Yan’an, Yan’an

Since China’s first red-themed show-Yan’an, Yan’an made its debut on July 7, 2016, nearly 600 sessions have been staged, attracting more than 200,000 domestic viewers and foreign tourists from the U.S.A, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and other countries.

Yan’an is a sacred revolutionary place and a spiritual highland for CPC members. Through the eyes of Bai Yanming, a female colleague student who came to Yan’an from Shanghai, Yan’an Yan’an tells young patriots and revolutionary armymen’s stories of production, life, study, fighting, love and sacrifice in the late 1930s.

To make tourists feel revolutionary zeal and cultural connotation of tourism consumption at close range, the show was designed with interactions: leaflet distribution, red star throw and revolutionary song interaction arouse viewers’ enthusiasm; Yangko (a rural folk dance) performance, folk song interaction and red jujube presentation offer viewers an experience of northern Shaanxi’s folk customs; and Ansai waist drum shows the glory of loess.

Yan’an Yan’an will be staged at Dongfanghong Grand Theatre, Zaoyuan Culture Square, Yan’an at 11:00 AM and 8:00 PM every day as of April 16.
