Silk Road

Since ancient times, Shaanxi has been the gateway and hub for China’s opening up.

the Daming Palace of Chang’an City in the Tang Dynasty, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda,
Xingjiao Temple Pagoda, Zhang Qian’s Tomb in Chenggu and Big Buddha Temple in Chen County 
are integral parts of “Silk Road: Chang’an-Tianshan Corridor Highway Network”.
They have been successfully selected into the World Cultural Heritage List.
These are the cultural legacies of the Silk Road in its heyday,
and the bright pearls in the history of human civilization.
You can walk into these places,
listening to the profound echo of camel bells along the silk road.
With frequent foreign contacts,
Buddhism was introduced to Shaanxi.
Shaanxi became the “second hometown” of Buddhism,
boasting Three Treatises, Dharma Character, Vinaya, Pure Land,
 Huayan and Tantra
 of the eight Han Buddhism.
For the placement of Sakyamuni Buddha’s finger bone relic
Famen Temple has become a world’s famous Buddhist shrine.
It’s named as “the ninth wonder of the world” by the UNESCO;
Kumarajiva, the ancestor of the eight sects of Chinese Buddhism and translation
translated and promoted Buddhism script ures in Shaanxi, exerting far-reaching influence.

The only free trade pilot zone in the northwest region is under construction according to the high standard.
