Shaanxi's top ten tourism news reports in 2017 unveiled
1.Shaanxi becomes a national model province for all-for-one tourism building.
All-for-one tourism is the full view and full coverage of tourism, is scientific and systematic tourism featuring resource optimization, ordered space, rich products and developed industry, and has become a national policy. The national model province for all-for-one tourism building shoulders the mission of exploring the experience of all-for-one tourism development for the country.
2.The Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission (SXPTDC) founded.
In May 2017, the Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Administration (SXPTA) was renamed SXPTDC and changed from an institution directly under the provincial government into a department under the provincial government. Gao Zhongying was appointed Director of SXPTDC.
3.Tourism toilet revolution is a campaign initiated by the China National Tourism Administration to correct the disorderliness of toilets in scenic areas.
Through the campaign, toilets in scenic areas, along tourism lines and in traffic hubs, tourism restaurants, tourism entertainment venues, pedestrian zones and other sites will be up to standards whether in quantity or quality.
4.Tourism-based poverty alleviation benefits 75,600 impoverished people.
In 2017, Shaanxi's rural tourism received 202 million domestic and foreign tourists, achieved tourism revenues of RMB 27.56 billion and benefited 75,600 impoverished people.
5.Sightseeing highway along Yellow River open to traffic.
With a full length of 828.5 kilometers, the highway is a south-north highway of Shaanxi Province built on the west bank of the Yellow River. Stretching from Fugu County, Yulin in the north to the foot of Mount Hua, Weinan in the south, the highway links more than 50 places of interest including Mount Hua, Hukou Waterfall, Qiachuan Wetland, Yellow River Shequ National Geopark, Qiankun Bay, Chuangwang Fort and Wubu Ancient Town.
6.Xi'an Silk Road International Tourism Expo 2017 (XSRITE 2017) achieves fruitful results.
XSRITE 2017 attracted government institutions and enterprises from 32 countries and regions, as well as 31 domestic provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, and received more than 5,000 professional visitors and more than 70,000 public visitors. At the exposition, more than 6,000 business negotiations were held, nearly 1,000 cooperation agreements were signed with a total intended amount of some RMB 1.5 billion, and 35 key projects were signed with a total contract amount of RMB 28.491 billion.
7."A Step into the Past-Terracotta Warrior Flashmob in London" attracts worldwide attention.
On November 6, Shaanxi organized "A Step into the Past-Terracotta Warrior Flashmob in London" Creative Marketing, Shaanxi Tourism Presentation and other events during World Travel Market London 2017. Shaanxi's brand image of "Knowing China starts with knowing Shaanxi" caused a great sensation in Britain and shone in the global tourism world. "A Step into the Past-Terracotta Warrior Flashmob in London" Creative Marketing has been the most extensive, novel and influential tourism marketing event of Shaanxi in Europe in recent years, and is a successful attempt of Shaanxi to develop the international market and display its charm.
8."Australian Tourists Visiting Shaanxi" event shines in China-Australia Year of Tourism.
On September 14, 2017, Australian Tourists Visiting Shaanxi & Tang Style Grand Welcoming Ceremony was held successfully in Xi'an. This has been Shaanxi's largest tourism marketing event in Australia in recent years.
9."Red tourism" enters Tsinghua University.
On December 17, "Love for Yan'an, Journey to Yan'an-Tourism Event in Campus" took place at Tsinghua University. The event is a major move to develop red tourism.
10.Huaqinggong Cultural Tourism Co., Ltd. was named "National Model Tourism Service Provider" as the only tourism enterprise honored from Shaanxi and northwestern China.
A total of seven domestic enterprises won this honor.
