Turkish Grand National Assembly Delegation Visited Emperor Qingshihuang's Mausoleum Museum

On 5 December, Binali Yildirim, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, led a delegation of 53 people to visit the Emperor Qingshihuang's Mausoleum Museum.

Yildirim arrived in China at the invitation of the Standing Committee of the National people's Congress (NPC). The delegation visited the Hall of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in Pit 1 and the Exhibition Hall of Painted Bronze Chariots and Horses at the Museum.

At the end of the visit, Yildirim wrote in the guestbook: "As the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, I am very glad to take the opportunity of my official visit to the People's Republic of China from December 3 to 6 in 2018 to witness the glorious and amazing legacy of China's centuries-old civilization, which has survived thousands of years. During the 2012-2013 Turkey-China Cultural Year, many Chinese cultural treasures, including the terracotta warriors and horses, were on display at the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul. Both Turkey and China are well-known for the rich and splendid civilizations, long-standing cultures as well as excellent and powerful armed forces, and the friendship between the two peoples will last forever. My best regards!"
