Xi'an City Wall-Forest of Stone Stele Historic Culture Scenic Area becomes the 9th national AAAAA tourist scenic spot in Shaanxi Province

Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has confirmed that the Xi'an City Wall-Forest of Stone Stele Historic Culture Scenic Area is a national AAAAA tourist scenic spot. 

Both Xi'an City Wall and Xi'an Forest of Stone Steles are the first batch of key cultural relic protection units announced in 1961. Xi'an City Wall is the largest and most complete ancient city wall in China, with a circumference of 13.74 km. It is the symbol of Xi'an, a world-class historical and cultural city. 

Xi'an Forest of Stone Steles is famous for collecting, displaying and studying the inscriptions, epitaphs and stone carvings of the past dynasties. The Forest of Stone Steles Museum consists of the Temple of Confucius, the Forest of Stone Steles and the Art Room of Stone Carvings. 

At present, Shaanxi has nine AAAAA scenic spots, including the Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Museum, Huaqing Palace Scenic Area, Great Wild Goose Pagoda-Tang Paradise Scenic Area, Xi'an City Wall-Forest of Stone Stele Historic Culture Scenic Area, Yan'an Emperor Huang's Mausoleum Scenic Area, Weinan Huashan Scenic Spot, Baoji Famen Temple Buddha Culture Scenic Spot, Shangluo Jinsi Gorge Scenic Area, and Baoji Taibai Mountain Tourist Scenic Spot.
