China Tourism Performance Standard Training Base established in Huaqing Palace

On May 29, the Inaugural Conference & Ceremony of China Tourism Performance Standard Training Base was held in Huaqing Palace, Xi’an.

In August 2016, the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China officially released three national standards for live action performance service. Based on the management and service practice of A Song of Everlasting Sorrow, a live action stage play, the standards effectively promoted the standardized and sustained development of China’s live action performance industry.

A Song of Everlasting Sorrow in Huaqing Palace Scenic Area has set an example to the departments setting and implementing national tourism performance service standards, and for transforming standards into industrial advantage.

Located 30 kilometers east of downtown Xi’an, Huaqing Palace (Huaqing Pool • Mount Li) is next to Terracotta Warriors known as the “eighth wonder of the world”. Emperors of Chinese dynasties including Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui and Tang built detached palaces and gardens here. It is an iconic attraction in China’s Tang palace culture tourism.

A Song of Everlasting Sorrow, set in Huaqing Palace where the historical story took place, artistically recreates the love theme of a masterpiece of renowned Chinese poet Bai Juyi, and restores a spectacular historical circumstance and a touching love story.
